Takiyyah Mawlawiyyah is present at the suburbs of Tripoli (el-Zeytoun, i.e., the olive orchards). It was built by Mr. Samsamji Ali at 1619 CE and it follows the Ottoman architecture. It occupies a 200 m2 area and is composed of 3 storeys. This building was described by many of the city visitors. Stories cite the beauty of the building especially in the 19th century. The takiyyah is known to be a theological school used by the followers of "Jalal AlDin AlRoumi", famous for his Soufi school in Konya (Turkey). At present it is unused and an urgent maintenance is needed before it completely demolishes.
